SANDRA CLOSE
My name is Sandra Close and I've been teaching, mostly in small country schools, for most of my career. I did my teacher training here in Lismore, worked at local schools and Lake Ainsworth S & R Centre before gaining a permanent teaching position at a little school north-west of Moree. I've taught all age groups in composite class settings where I find the atmosphere is like that of a big family and the students are encouraged to do their best and care for one another. I've been lucky to work at Jiggi PS in a temporary or casual capacity since 2014.
I have a love of the natural world and hope to inspire students to share my desire to learn more about plants and animals, conservation and sustainability and to care for and respect everyone and everything around them.
